Policies & FAQs
All US orders will ship with either First Class or Priority mail, calculated at checkout with the current USPS rates. Free US shipping is good for any order $20 or more. International orders have a shipping rate starting anywhere from $8 to $20; due to the high cost of international shipping, we've done our best to price it accurately so that you don't overpay and we don't lose money on shipping costs. Any shipping overages will be refunded upon label printing.
All orders are sent through USPS with tracking information. Larger orders will be automatically upgraded to Priority mail. Once the order has been dropped off at our local post office, it usually takes 3 to 7 days to arrive at its destination (2 to 4 days for Priority mail). During peak times, it may take longer, which we unfortunately can't control (we definitely wish we could!). The customer is responsible for knowing about and paying any VAT/customs charges that may result from international shipping.
Our regular processing time is 1 to 3 business days. We try our best to get orders out as quickly as possible. During high volume times (usually new collection releases, sales, promotions, and the holidays), our turnaround time may increase to 5 to 10 business days. You will be notified of any significant delay in processing your order and you can always let us know if you have any questions or need something particularly quick.
We take PayPal and all major credit cards. All payments are processed using either Shopify or PayPal services.
Returns, Lost or Damaged Items:
We will strive to make sure our customers are left satisfied if any issues come up in the ordering and/or shipping process. If your order arrives damaged, please contact us so we can resolve the situation. We may request photos of the damage to help us determine if a packaging error was made on our part or if USPS just mishandled a fragile package. If a sufficient amount of time has passed between when we shipped an order and the order has still not arrived at its destination, we will put in an inquiry with USPS and send out a new package if the original can not be located. If you are unhappy with your purchase upon receiving your order, we will attempt to come up with a viable solution. That being said, we can't take returns on any bath/body product or nail polish that has been used. Please remember that colors can appear different on computer screens; this may not be considered an acceptable reason to warrant a return (although an exchange may be permitted because no one wants a color they just don’t love). No returns or exchanges will be given on orders that were delivered more than 30 days ago.
Nail Polish Application Tips:
Try to refrain from shaking your bottles of polish too much; this can create excess air bubbles that will show up upon application. Rolling them between your hands or shaking them lightly should be just fine. Indie polish has a slightly different formula than commercial polish due to the lack of the chemical toluene, so glitter polish especially will tend to be thicker. This is normal and will not affect application. Some larger glitters may develop a subtle reflective curl over time; this is also normal and won't affect application. Settling and/or mild separation is common in all nail polish and bottles should be rolled or lightly shaken on a regular basis. A good base coat and top coat should be used with all polish to provide a smooth application, a shiny finish, and a longer lasting manicure. Our Clearly Radiant top coat is perfect for this and I suggest either ORLY Bonder or CND Stickey for base coat.
